Ecoleg LLP is an ecological consultancy, facilitator of training courses and nature experience hosts, based in Cardiff. Ecoleg LLP is run by two ecologists and outdoor instructors with 22 years of professional experience, who are supported by a dedicated team of freelance specialists.

We pride ourselves on providing our clients with ecological solutions that benefit biodiversity without impeding project goals. With our range of expert services including initial preliminary ecological appraisals (PEAs), protected species surveys, landscape management plans and mitigation design - you will find we will enhance your application and help nature help you.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ecoleg is SafeContractor accredited, so you can be assured that all of our work will be done to the highest safety standards.

  • Our ecology team are qualified in tree climbing and aerial rescue. If you require an ecologist in high-reaching places, we’d be well equipped to help you out. Our climbing ecologists have years of experience under their belt.

  • We hold protected species licenses which allow us to work with protected species across England and Wales. Our team of ecologists hold licenses for:

    • Bats

    • Dormice

    • Great Crested Newts

  • If you need to get an ecologist in a tight spot, we are qualified to help you. Our team of expert ecologists includes a Confined Spaces Level 2 ticket holder.

  • You can be sure that our ecologists at Ecoleg are who they say they are. Our ecologists are chartered environmentalists, accredited by both CIEEM and IES. Our ecologists are competent professionals who’s abilities have been assessed by leading environmental bodies and have been recognised for their high ecological standards.

  • Our team of ecologists and ECoWs are all PTS qualified and adhere to all Railway safety practices and procedures.

  • At Ecoleg, we have a vast amount of outdoor knowledge and experience we just can’t wait to share with you. No matter the adventure you want to embark on, you’ll be in safe hands with our ecologists who are accredited Mountain Leader’s and Ski Instructors.
